Five o'clock!

She dey wake before the sun,

she go split the medicine for two,

one cup water,

she comb mama hair small small,

she cook the food wey papa like,

she no dey talk say she tire,

she just dey talk, make you chop.

Midnight phone dey ring,

mama or papa, no matter who,

she dey go sharp sharp,

now I say thank you,

she still dey.

Daughter, daughter,

I see you,

thank you, thank you,

your hand, your heart,

daughter, daughter,

you stay for here,

I see you.

She dey cook, she dey clean,

she dey drive, she dey care,

who sick, medicine dey her hand,

wetin break, na she fix am,

who get question, dem dey ask her,

she remember everybody birthday,

everything for this house she sabi,

she still dey.

Daughter, daughter,

I see you,

thank you, thank you,

your hand, your heart,

daughter, daughter,

you stay for here,

I see you.

Thank you, thank you,

daughter, daughter,

I see you,

you stay for here,

thank you, thank you,

daughter!

Some days she tire well well,

some days her body dey pain her,

but her face still dey smile,

she go talk say, I dey fine.

She go watch the whole family dey chop,

she go hear dem dey laugh,

that moment her strength come back,

love na her medicine.

Daughter, daughter,

I see you,

thank you, thank you,

your hand, your heart,

daughter, daughter,

you be home, you be peace of mind,

I see you.

Daughter,

thank you,

love na her medicine,

I see you.
