Giati

“Giati” is an emotional exploration of heartbreak, self-doubt, and the search for lasting love. After experiencing a series of failed relationships, a woman begins to question whether the problem lies with the men who leave her or within herself.

When she meets a man who seems to possess everything she has been searching for—intelligence, kindness, financial stability, and emotional connection—she believes she has finally found lasting happiness. But when he leaves like the others, her confidence begins to unravel.

The lyrics take the form of a desperate conversation with Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. The woman questions whether she loves too deeply, gives too much, or somehow fails to give enough, pleading for an explanation of why love repeatedly slips away.

At its heart, “Giati” captures the vulnerability of someone who longs to be loved but has begun to question her own worth after repeated rejection.

The song's message: When love repeatedly leaves, the hardest question is whether something is wrong with us, or whether we simply have not yet found someone who chooses to stay.

ZSORAYII's "Giati" song cover of Zsorayii, wearing an ivory satin dress and gold jewelry, gazes thoughtfully over a marble balcony at a golden sunset above a Greek coastal village. Classical marble statues frame the scene, while an unmade bed, a cup of coffee and a handwritten note sit nearby. The glowing gold title “GIATI” appears above her name.

I thought it was them, every time, every name,

I counted the reasons, I counted the blame,

then you came in, too good to be true,

money, a mind, and the eyes that I knew,

you stayed for a while, you said all the right things,

then you left like the rest, and now nothing sings.

Is it me? Is it me?

Did I give too much, or not enough to see?

Did I care too hard, or did I care too small?

Aphrodite, tell me, why do I lose them all?

Afroditi, Afroditi,

giati fevgei i agapi?

Afroditi, Afroditi,

pes mou, pes mou giati.

He had everything, nothing was wrong on paper,

smart enough, kind enough, still he made his way out later,

so maybe it's not them, maybe it was never them,

maybe the problem is standing right here again.

Afroditi, Afroditi,

giati fevgei i agapi?

Afroditi, Afroditi,

pes mou, pes mou giati.

Maybe I love too loud, or I love too quiet,

maybe my heart speaks a language nobody buys it,

Afroditi, se parakalo,

pes mou pou echo kanei lathos.

Is it me, is it me,

giati, giati,

is it me, is it me,

pes mou giati.

Afroditi, Afroditi,

giati fevgei i agapi?

Afroditi, Afroditi,

pes mou, pes mou giati.

Afroditi... pes mou giati...

is it me...

or is it just love, moving through me,

looking for someone who stays.
