Huhtikuu
“Huhtikuu” is a bittersweet story about deception, lost love, timing, and the difficult choice to leave the truth unspoken when revealing it may only create new pain.
The story begins when a woman is told that her boyfriend has betrayed her with someone close to her. Before she can confront him, an emergency leaves him unable to answer her questions. His silence becomes circumstantial evidence, and the lie is given enough time to become believable. April, once associated with their relationship, becomes the dividing line between the life she had and the life that follows.
Time passes. Visits become less frequent, and eventually she rebuilds her life. She finds another partner and becomes a mother. Then she learns that her former boyfriend recovered and left before she knew he was awake. Once again, timing prevents the conversation that might have revealed what actually happened.
The truth finally arrives unexpectedly when she encounters him with the woman who originally deceived her. His reaction makes clear that he had believed a different version of the same lie: **he thinks she was the betrayer.** She suddenly understands that they were manipulated from opposite sides while the person responsible quietly benefited from their separation.
But the final verse refuses the obvious confrontation. She now has a child, a different life, and happiness she might never have known without what happened. Looking at him, she also recognizes that exposing the truth could destroy the life he has built. She has the truth “behind her teeth,” yet chooses to carry it home instead.
**The song’s message: A lie does not have to survive forever to change entire lives. Sometimes it only needs enough time to separate two people, redirect their futures, and make the eventual truth arrive too late to restore what was lost. And sometimes knowing the truth does not mean revealing it is still the right choice.**
**Languages:** English, Finnish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

ZSORAYII in an elegant brown draped dress stands between a rain soaked hospital room and a glowing Paris sunset beneath cherry blossoms. She holds a folded letter as emergency lights reflect through the hospital windows, where “April” is written on the glass. The Eiffel Tower rises across the river in the distance, contrasting heartbreak and uncertainty with renewal and hope. The title “HUHTIKUU” appears above her.
Said he was a storm
Said beautiful skies deserve better.
Sirens split the midnight.
Placed hurt in my hands.
April was ours, not hers.
Your guilty silence echoed.
What did I do? Why her? Why now?
Who do I ask
when silence testifies?
Hän ei voi vastata,
minä en voi kysyä.
A mentira respira
por nós dois.
Long enough to change my dying heart,
just long enough.
Time froze yet my heart burned.
Visits dwindled to a whisper.
Found weather better than you.
Tiny feet brought back the sun.
Danced to a different rhythm.
Should not have called. I tried not to.
Awake. Gone. A month too late.
Who do I ask
when silence testifies?
Hän ei voi vastata,
minä en voi kysyä.
A mentira respira
por nós dois.
Long enough to change my dying heart,
just long enough.
Heard your laugh two aisles over,
Held her like we once did.
Melted as your eyes found mine,
Saw it before I heard it,
Where was I? The traitor.
Glanced at your morning.
She smiled at a game we never knew we played.
Who do I ask
when silence testifies?
Hän ei voi vastata,
minä en voi kysyä.
A mentira respira
por nós dois.
Long enough to change my dying heart,
just long enough.
She took April from me,
Gave me every spring since.
A gentler sky calls my name.
Truth knocked behind my teeth,
Your eyes had storms enough.
Folded it small,
Left you in her borrowed sun,
Carried the silence home.
Who do I ask
when silence testifies?
Nyt sinä voit vastata,
nyt minä voin kysyä.
A mentira respirou
por nós dois.
Some lies don't need forever,
just long enough,
just long enough.
