Tuck
“Tuck” is a joyful and nostalgic celebration of childhood, friendship, mischief, and the unforgettable adventures of boarding school life. Through humorous memories of early morning inspections, classroom mishaps, muddy rugby matches, and secret midnight feasts, the song captures the excitement of growing up in a world where even the smallest moments became extraordinary adventures.
The lyrics revisit unforgettable school experiences, from disastrous carpentry projects and chaotic cooking lessons to elaborate plans for smuggling Chinese takeaway into the dormitory.
Beyond the laughter and mischief, the song celebrates the friendships, shared secrets, lessons, and imagination that shaped those formative years. Memories of movie nights, beloved pets, summer holidays, and imaginary pirate adventures add warmth to a childhood filled with discovery.
At its heart, “Tuck” is a tribute to the little world children create together, where friendships turn ordinary places into kingdoms and everyday experiences become lifelong memories.
The song's message: Childhood may pass, but the friendships, laughter, adventures, and lessons we carry from those years remain with us forever.

ZSORAYII sits on a vintage trunk in a sunlit boarding-school dormitory, wearing a navy blazer and plaid skirt. Smiling students gather among rows of beds and blue lockers, while the bold title “TUCK” appears above her.
Oh, you should have seen us then!
Little shoes, big dreams,
a thousand secret schemes!
[Backing answers]
One bell, two socks, three missing ties,
four little generals with sleepy eyes!
Six in the morning, the bell went wild,
somebody's still sleeping, somebody's lost a tie.
Beds in a row, trunks underneath,
one boy brushing his hair with his teeth!
Blazers on, buttons all wrong,
somebody's singing the breakfast song.
We stood in a line like soldiers of state,
but all we could think was what's on our plate!
Instep! Outstep! Heels!
Hands! Ears! Hair!
Turn those shoes around,
let me see what's hiding there!
One boy polished the front so bright,
forgot the back since Friday night!
Oh, our dormitory kingdom!
What a life we used to know!
Little kings and queens in blazers,
with a thousand places to go!
We had mud upon our trousers,
secret biscuits in our beds,
a hundred little adventures
and a million things we never said!
Hey! Hey! Ring that bell!
We had stories we could never tell!
Oh, our dormitory kingdom,
what a world we made ourselves!
In carpentry, we built a chair,
three good legs and one somewhere!
Teacher said, "Will that thing stand?"
We said, "Only if you hold its hand!"
Cooking class, the cake went flat,
somebody blamed the classroom cat.
Science made a rainbow glow,
we all wore goggles for the show!
Computer room, those screens of green,
we thought we'd built a time machine!
One boy typed a secret code,
the printer sang and the paper flowed!
French teacher said, "Où sont vos devoirs?"
We said, "Madame, quelle histoire!"
German teacher said, "Ruhe, bitte!"
We sat so straight, but couldn't stop giggling!
English teacher said, "Write what you know."
We wrote about the food we planned to smuggle home!
Rugby in the rain, mud up to our knees,
somebody lost a boot beneath the trees!
One boy scored, we cheered so loud,
he slipped and disappeared into the crowd!
Then came the night of the great bonfire,
one boy had a plan to make the flames look higher.
Orange paper, torchlight, smoke made of sheets,
a fake little fire by the old back seats!
Somebody shouted, "Fire! Fire!"
The whole dorm woke in their night attire!
He stood there laughing, proud of his show,
till a teacher came running, and he had nowhere to go!
Friday night, eight-oh-three,
we held a meeting in secrecy.
One had the money, one had the phone,
one watched the corridor all alone.
A map of the grounds on a maths-book page,
we planned that meal like a military campaign!
"Agent One, can you hear me? Over!"
"Teacher approaching! Take cover! Take cover!"
Chinese takeaway, fried rice for six,
spring rolls, noodles, and a bag full of chips!
The runner came back with a victorious grin,
then somebody whispered, "THE TEACHER'S COMING IN!"
Under the blankets! Behind the door!
One boy dropped his rice on the floor!
We stood like statues, holding our breath,
while the smell of noodles gave away the rest!
Oh, our dormitory kingdom!
What a life we used to know!
Little kings and queens in blazers,
with a thousand places to go!
We had mud upon our trousers,
secret biscuits in our beds,
a hundred little adventures
and a million things we never said!
Hey! Hey! Ring that bell!
We had stories we could never tell!
Oh, our dormitory kingdom,
what a world we made ourselves!
Movie night, the lights went low,
one scary shadow and we all yelled, "NO!"
The brave boy hid behind a chair,
then claimed he was only looking for air!
Some films made us laugh till we couldn't see,
some made us cry at the final scene.
Our little pets knew every secret we kept,
and every midnight biscuit we swept.
Summer came, and the days grew long,
my guardian's kitchen was a welcome song.
The best warm meals, the garden trees,
pirate flags dancing in the breeze.
We built our castles out of wood,
and sailed imaginary seas as far as we could.
Now I look back at those little beds,
the wooden lockers and the things we said.
We learned our lessons, we learned to share,
and somewhere inside me, that bell still rings.
Oh, our dormitory kingdom!
What a life we used to know!
Little kings and queens in blazers,
with a thousand places to go!
We had mud upon our trousers,
secret biscuits in our beds,
a hundred little adventures
and a million things we never said!
Hey! Hey! Ring that bell!
We had stories we could never tell!
Oh, our dormitory kingdom,
what a world we made ourselves!
Instep! Outstep! Heels!
Hands! Ears! Hair!
Somebody's hiding noodles,
but nobody knows where!
